Note from Author and Illustrator
I was inspired to write this book after working with my son on his final project in the Primary school, where he focused on coral bleaching. I learned so much helping him about how humans impact the reef. Around the same time my family and I assisted an ongoing coral reef restoration project on Nananu-i-Ra island in Fiji, and I learned so much from Victor Bonito from Reef Explorer Fiji.
It really has been a passion project with the words just coming together in such a fun way! I am not an artist and I have barely painted before, it was amazing to see the character and coral reef ecosystem come to life!

Join our two curious characters again as they take you on another incredible journey to a coral reef in Fiji. On this adventure they have found more damaged reef and the coral reef animals need their help. They set off a little fearfully following strange noises on the reef to find out who is the coral thief.
But all is not as it seems on the reef!

About the book
This is the 3rd book in the Ocean Adventures series. After learning about Mangroves at my current Primary school (where I teach) through listening to guest speakers and research of my own I learned how incredible these trees are! I started to find out more and spend some time exploring them, both on land and through snorkeling around them. They continued to inspire and wow me!
This book follows Kye and Kiki as they are led on a new adventure by some mysterious "OP's". They arrive in a dark and eerie place to be greeted by Chief Fiddler Crab, who is the cousin to the wonderful coral crab in the first 2 books. Chief Fiddler Crab narrates as he teaches Kye and Kiki all about mangroves and their importance. He then ask for help!
